Merry Christmas!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Ours was terrific. After our morning of opening gifts, we went to Mimi & Papa's for dinner. Morgan and Madelyn were great entertainment! We our thankful for our multiple blessings, especially our loving family.

Evan Hamm Wins Silver In Tournament!!!

Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008.
Evan had his first wrestling tournament. It was a packed gymnasium at Nordonia High School! There were about 7 different city/school teams competing. Evan wrestled 3 matches. The video is the end of the 1st. He won the 1st, lost the 2nd, won the 3rd. He placed 2nd in his weight class. He did an excellent job! We are so proud of him. Paul, Madelyn and I, Mimi & Papa, Grandpa, Keith & Nick Sulzer, Sheldon Stuckhart were all in attendance.
Thanksgiving was lovely. We had Mimi & Papa; Jeff, Trevor & Garrett; O-Ma & Grandpa; Patty, Jason & Lauren. Lori stopped by too. Jeff and the boys stayed the night. Friday, we had a little brunch & leftovers with Bob Matthews, Amy & Scott. Alexa, Jeannine and Morgan; Mimi and Papa came over too. We love Thanksgiving because it is such a simple holiday, reflect on your blessings and be with your loved ones.

November 18, 2008

What mayhem the last 2 weeks! Poor Evan had a tummy bug which landed him in the ER with awful poking and prodding. Thank goodness he's fine. Now, Madelyn has it. Meanwhile, poor Paul is dealing with kidney stones. We are hopeful that they will be removed soon! So, there has not been much posting. On a much better note, Evan had a fabulous report card and teacher conference. (A chip off the old block! Hee, hee.) We are so proud. I was fortunate enough to be the parent helper the other day. What fun. His class was very sweet. I felt like a celebrity with all of the attention. Also, EVAN HAS STARTED WRESTLING!!! Look out wrestling world, there's a new Hamm in town! Stay tuned...

Evan & Madelyn

Evan's Football 'tackle'

November 1, 2008

Happy Halloween! Evan was a Clone Trooper, Madelyn was a Kitty Cat Princess, Paul was Luigi of SuperMarioBros., and I was a Genie. In the early afternoon, Madelyn and I had a few neighbor friends over for a small party.

Today was Evan's Football Playoffs. Evan had several great plays, including a great 'tackle'. Unfortunately, the Lightening Bolts were defeated. It was a great season, with Evan receiving an award for 'Most Improved Player'. Yea Evan! It looks like wrestling is next. Look for a post after the first practice next week!

Oct. 25, 2008

Unfortunately, the Lightning Bolts were defeated today. Evan played well. Grandpa, Mimi & Papa, Uncle Jeff, Madelyn and Mom were all in attendance. As you can see, Paul was diligent in his stat work. I love this photo because of the look that Evan is giving the ref, like "I think we had a few more yards than that."

Good Morning,
All is very well with our family. Evan continues to improve his football skills. 2nd grade is also going very well for him, he has had 100% on the last few spelling tests! We recently had an impromptu game night here and the men were victorious to the women. However, the women were the victors at Kalahari! (This time the women had one less player too!) We do have the greatest neighbors! Anyway, Halloween is fast approaching and the children are quite excited! Looking forward to posting those pics.

Evan's football career is progressing. Today, the Lightning Bolts won the first game but lost the second. Evan almost sacked the quarterback. He is playing a little more aggressively now. Paul is self credited with team strategy (the other coaches refer to this as 'stats'). Mimi and Papa, Madelyn and Terri were all in attendance. It's a gorgeous fall day here in Cleveland!

Oct. 9, 2008

This is the first day of our family blog! This will be a learning experience for me (Terri). All is very well. Paul, Evan and Madelyn are wonderful. Evan is at school (2nd grade) taking standardized tests this week. Football is going quite well, he scored a touchdown last Saturday! Madelyn is growing more creative, she truly enjoys creating artwork!
